Challenges Faced by the Educators in the Pandemic
Universities, Schools, various other Educational Institutions are improving their online learning system with providing adequate assistance to their educators. Yet, this pandemic has affected the bread and butter of our educators in an negative way. Despite the fact that Schools and Universities are running on schedule (through online mode) yet they are not paying enough to the educators, likewise a portion of the educators have lost thier jobs which is a test of time for them.
Another way, this educators who are serving in their respective occupations are not even equipped enough for making a perfect online class due to cuts in their online education expenses like smartphones, PCs and Web platforms like smartboards etc. Schools and Universities are making benefit by accumulating different types of fees on time however the educators are sitting tight for cash since COVID-19 outbreak. Henceforth educators are ignored in many ways and Govt should roll out potential improvements in laws and regulations on a case by case basis to improve their work condition.
Possible Solutions to Tackle this Problem
Education is the important part of one's life and is very important to decide the fate of any country. Educators should be given most extreme importance as they are the persons who shape the Future of the Country (Students) for a greater cause. Teaching is the way to tackle and solve numerous social and efficient issues. In spite of being the foundation of Education System, Educators and their working condition is still ignored in many parts of the country. That issue ought to be considered with most extreme significance.
The educators are given extremely less payment when compared with the people of different occupation of the same posts. They are not given any kind of infrastructural help taking everything into account. Numerous educators lost their employment during the pandemic condition. Indeed, even before the pandemic the conditions were not upto the set benchmark of educating. Before taking any class, they should make notes, should go through appropriate planning so that students can understand the things easily. Everything about their work they keep them aside so that it doesn't effect their class.
However, they are not paid adequately for their hardwork. Their different work related to non teaching like results, parent teachers meeting should also be kept into account. In this pandemic condition, the educators who were generally teaching on offline mode needs to move to online classes, which made the things more difficult for them. On one side all educators might not have enough knowledge to take online classes and the others did not have the required infrastructure for the online classes. PCs and cell phones which is must for online classes might be a difficult task for them to arrange for atleast a portion of the educators.
Not ignoring the fact that numerous educators lost their employment and many are working in low payment which adds extra challenge to this issue. The working condition of educators ought to be improved inorder to work effectively. Law and Guidelines should be outlined for minimum compensation that should be given this educatos by taking into account what their work experience is and how capable they are in their field.
What should be Done?
Infrastrucure should be provide to this educators to take online classes by private educational institutions. After Government of India made training of this Teaches by Private Organization compulsory these private organizations developed quicker and created numerous employment opportunities for this teachers yet govt isn't managing private systems so they are exclusively centered around money making acting as an money making machine and not thinking about the educators. Due to this numerous educators eventhough they have high capabilities they are forced to work only for around 15K - 20K of Salary each month.
To address this Issue Government should direct private educational institutions to fix certain amount of monthly allowance that should be given to this educators. Those educators who lost their employment in this pandemic should be given priority to work in this Institutions once again.
